Fight pilot of the MiG-29 fighter jet is still missing and it is yet not clear if he was able to eject for the aircraft safely. Indian Air Force has launched search and rescue effort to recover the fighter pilot and rescue teams had reached the area by 3 am.

High altitude of the area is making the job of locating the fighter pilot and wreckage of the fighter jet very difficult.
